So, today every artist’s worst nightmare happened to me.

I was inking a commission, and my inkwell pitched off of the top shelf of my drawing table, destroying all in its path.

So here is the aftermath on my desk:

This is the piece I was working on:

Here is what it did to me, while I was saving the carpet, somewhat:

What really stinks is I ruined one of the last pairs of good pants that I own. The good thing is that after a half-an hour in the shower with a scotch-brite pad I got most of the ink off of my skin.

So of course what really sucks it that I had to quit working for the evening to try to save the carpet, and I ruined a piece. Thank goodness I didn’t destroy a comic page!

On another crappy note, one of my important tools was lost over the holiday, my Pentel pocket brush pen. The only way I could get a new one was pay something along the line of thirty four dollars for it online. These suckers are realllly rare in stores, if you see them, pick one up, they are amazing.
